AACI Releases Video on Importance of Crop Insurance at Convention

San Diego, CA – The American Association of Crop Insurers (AACI) released a video during the annual convention that highlighted the importance of strengthening advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. to protect crop insurance from harmful attacks. The video followed remarks from AACI Chairman, Larry Heitman, who said, “As tempting as it may be to relax until the next Farm Bill negotiations begin again, let’s remember our program is a target for those that want to redirect agricultural funds to their own causes or programs.”

The video was well-received from the audience with a round of applause. And, Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI) who addressed the crowd afterwards commented that the video is one that all of his colleagues in Congress “needed to see.”
