Washington, DC – The American Association of Crop Insurers (AACI) released a report titled “AACI in Action: Quarterly Report”. The report reviews AACI’s work over the third quarter of 2020, including summaries of calls that were held between Members of Congress and AACI members as well as highlights from AACI’s virtual fall meting that took place on September 30 & October 1. The report also provides a list of significant announcements from USDA that were made to assist producers and the crop insurance industry since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also continued with updates from two members of the Congressional Crop Insurance Caucus, Rep. Austin Scott (R-GA) and Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA), both of whom are working to ensure the agriculture community receives adequate support from the Federal government as they continue to provide relief during the global crisis. Lastly, the report spotlights AACI member Scott Silveus, who was just elected to the FCIC Board, and notes AACI-PAC contributors as of September 30, 2020.
